This course will cover all the gun safety basics you need in order to apply for your Virginia Concealed Carry Permit. This course satisfies all the Virginia state requirements for a Concealed Carry Permit. We welcome individual bookings or group bookings. For group bookings, we are willing to travel to you, as no live ammunition is needed for this course. Carrying a firearm is a great responsibility. You are responsible for the firearm and the use there off, which means you are not only responsible for your own safety but also for those around you. Having the confidence, the know-how, and the soundness of mind to properly and safely carry and use your firearm in public, cannot be taught in 3 hours. To this purpose, we would like to extend our NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course to include some hands-on, real-life scenarios training on our safe Smokeless Range Simulator. This course satisfies all the Virginia state requirements for a Concealed Carry Permit and walk out of the training with confidence. 

This inclusive day of home defense and NRA concealed carry permit training is the first step to empower you to protect yourself and your family. Whether you have been carrying for years or you are still cautious around firearms this course has something for you.

This is NOT just another gun safety or self-defense course, this IS a course designed for you, as a confident woman, to stand your ground in real-life situations at home and on the move.

We encourage each and everyone with a firearm to visit a shooting range regularly and get familiar with your firearm. However, we also know that the shooting range can be restrictive in some ways. 

At our Smokeless Range Simulation classes, you will receive professional one-on-one training. You will be taught how to use your own gun in real-life scenarios. We can train you to draw, get familiar with your firearm's safety mechanisms, how to properly holster and conceal your gun; to name view skills. This is also a perfect opportunity to engage in real-life simulations and build your confidence so that if you ever need your firearm in a real-life situation you will have the ability to do so safely and confidently. Please be aware that live ammunition will not be used at these trainings, protective gear and safety measures are in place. 

We understand that handling clients and employees with potentially different views on gun laws can leave you feeling like you are between a rock and a hard place. It is important for you as a business owner to understand the rights of both parties and be ready to navigate the often emotionally charged reactions when it comes to firearms. At Kuhl Defense and Safety, we understand that everyone has an unique background and personality. Some of our clients grew up around firearms, hunting and are more comfortable handling a firearm. Some of our clients however have never been around firearms and are fearful and unsure. 

Our Personal Instruction is to meet every individual needs around there comfort level of handling firearms. Whether you are a seasoned shooter but would like a refresher or help with a new firearm, or you have never handled a gun, we can help you be more professional and train you to an even higher level of excellence. These classes can be at our location with the Smokeless Range or we can accompany you to a local shooting range.
